It all started with a suicide. The first season was spent getting to the bottom of why Mary Alice Young (the ghostly narrator of the show) had died.
Those who thought that there would be nothing left to do once this was revealed were wrong.
This little slice of suburbia has more than its fair share of deaths, lies, infidelities and complicated family relationships.
Presumably attempting to inject some new life into the show Season 5 moves five years into the future.
Time may have moved on, but the residents of Wisteria Lane really haven't!
