A man wakes up naked on an island off the coast of Seattle with no recollection of who he is or where he came from. Somehow though, he knows EVERYTHING else.

Whilst he searches for clues to his identity he helps the police solve crimes.

The mystery of who he is seems to be linked to a shadowy group known as the Phoenix Organisation.

The show was cancelled abruptly before the end of the first season and the writers never had a chance to play out the conclusion of the show. The final cliff hanger was when John discovered one of his closest friends was running the Phoenix Organisation.
