From a young age Shawn's father (now a retired cop) has taught him observational skills.

After drifting through a variety of jobs Shawn (with some reluctant help from best friend Gus) sets up a psychic detective agency. He uses his powers of observation in lieu of real psychic powers.

Together Shawn and Gus assist the local police department to solve a variety of crimes.
