CRACKER BARREL BEANIES

In October 2002 Ty introduced the world to 'very exclusive Beanies' - enter Pompey, only available (at that time) in the Portsmouth Football Club Shop in Hampshire, England. Collectors across the planet went wild for this bear. Ty had hit on another winning formula.

Next came the Cracker Barrel Beanies. For those of us who live outside the US - Cracker Barrel are branded rest stops combining gas pumps, a variety of goods and restaurants.

All the Cracker Barrel Beanies were effectively American exclusives as they could only be found at a Cracker Barrel. You had to hope that a) you were in America (or Canada if you were shopping on-line) and b) there was a Cracker Barrel near you!

Herschel (the first) is named for the Uncle of the founder Dan Evins, and also one of the breakfasts they serve at the Cracker Barrel.

Herschel was followed a year later by Cornbread - who looked a bit like Herschel but without the curly fur! Finally a year later came Old Timer (so named as the Cracker Barrel are style 'old time' stores).

As the Beanies were released at approximately one year intervals - and there was none in 2005 it looks like this will remain a trio!
