Buffy ran for seven seasons; and spawned successful spin-off Angel.
Set in fictional Sunnydale, California it focuses on Buffy and her friends (the 'Scoobies') who fight a variety of demons and monsters... but mostly, of course, Vampires.
Over the years Buffy has a lot of ground breaking episodes.
"Hush" - Season 4 (Episode 10) - the inhabitants of Sunnydale lose their voices. The entire episode has practically no dialogue!
"The Body" - Season 5 (Episode 16) - the episode deals with the death of Buffy's mother (Joyce) - and there is no musical score during the entire episode.
"Once More with Feeling" - Season 5 (Episode 7) - the 'musical' episode. Not entirely sung; but in the tradition of a West End musical where members of the cast break into song... although amusingly, unlike a musical, the characters notice and are perplexed by the frequent burst of song!
