This team in the Philadelphia PD Homicide Division deal with cases that haven't been solved... cases that are sometimes years old - the Cold Cases.
Each week sees a new murder to be solved (with occasional multi-parted stories, or 'back-stories' for the characters). The show relies heavily on 'period' music to match the time in which the crime is set, and amazing casting to provide 'younger' versions of the present day characters involved with the crime.
It is 'just another cop show' but it is a bit more besides.
