So far there are twenty-one bears, representing nineteen cities. So far, that is, because with Ty the motto is always 'expect the unexpected' and who knows when more city bears may turn up! There are there are two more bears than cities as there are three bears representing the city of New York!
By and large the City Bears were introduced at the annual round of toy and gift shows across America during 2004.
Toronto in Canada, London in England, Yokohoma in Japan and Melbourne in Australia are the cities outside the US represented.
