The first of the "Flower" bears came way back in 2002 when the first of the Asia-Pacific rim exclusives were introduced. Although there had previously been Japanese exclusives these bears covered six countries in the Asia-Pacific region: Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore. These bears were traditional plush, with a flower logo embroidered on their chests.

There was a subsequent second set of Asia-Pacific flower bears in 2004 - these bears had the flowers printed onto their fur!

The other flower bears where the State/Province bears released throughout the Toy Fair season of 2005. These bears complemented the "I love" State/Province releases of 2004 - just when collectors thought they were done with the 50 states and beyond!
