March 8, 2002 Ty Europe have announced a 3 year sponsorship deal with Portsmouth Football Club. This is what the new shirt may look like.
March 6, 2002 The new arrivals for March are: Frolic the Dog, Hoofer the Clydesdale, Panama the Tree Frog, April the Bear and Mum the Bear. These are announced via the Ty magazine and not on the Website.
March 1, 2002 New German exclusive Graf von Rot is announced.
February 26, 2002 Ty introduces America II to Ty Store.
February 23, 2002 Reports of a new bear come from Germany and the UK. This is a bear called Mum. The bear hasn't been announced on the Ty Website.
February 14, 2002 Ty announces the retirement of Romance and Kiss-Me.
February 4, 2002 England, Scotland and Wales announced on the Ty website.
February 2, 2002 New UK Internationals are introduced at the NEC Show in Birmingham. These are England, Wales and Scotland; white, red and blue bears respectively with their country's national flag on their chest.
January 31, 2002 Ty announces the another new international. This one is for Germany a black bear by the name of Freiherr von Schwarz.
January 29, 2002 Ty announces the introduction of a new range. These are the Basket Beanies - there are six: Hoppity, Eggbert, Hippity, Ewey, Eggs and Grace.
Also announced today are the Asia-Pacific Flower Exclusives: Asia-Pacific Flower Exclusives. These are all bears in the traditional style with normal plush fur:
Wattlie (Australia), Bunga Raya (Malyasia), Ferny (New Zealand), Sakura II (Japan), Mungungwha (Korea), Vanda (Singapore).
Finally, announced today - March birthday bear, Tracks (Lynx), Sequoia (seated) and Frisbee (black lab).
January 23, 2002 Ty retires the BBOC range - including Clubby 4 Beanie and the Clubby Jingle Beanies.
January 18, 2002 Ty retires Beanie Baby Midnight.
January 3, 2002 Ty introduces an exclusive collector's magazine available only from authorized Ty retailers.
January 2, 2002 Ty retires Beanie Baby Speckles.
